What is a pod system?

A pod system is a small rechargeable device that takes either a refillable pod or a prefilled one. It is roughly the size of a cigarette pack or smaller, and its mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw — where vapour is drawn into the mouth first, then inhaled — is what makes it the closest match to a traditional cigarette.

Refillable or prefilled pods?

Refillable pods let you use any e-liquid you want and are cheaper with unlimited flavour options. Prefilled pods are easier and cleaner but limited to the manufacturer’s flavours. Beginners usually prefer prefilled; long-term users save more with refillable.

How long does a coil last?

Usually one to three weeks depending on how heavily you vape and which flavour you use. Sweet and dark flavours wear a coil out faster than light ones.

Which nicotine strength suits a pod?

Pod devices are built for salt nicotine at medium to high strengths, because the draw is mouth-to-lung and vapour output is lower. Low-strength freebase e-liquid is better suited to larger vape devices.
