What are BLENDS sticks, and are they cigarettes?
Short answer
BLENDS are real heated tobacco sticks by IQOS, made exclusively for the BONDS device. Four variants are available: Gold, Silver, Beige and Green Menthol. They are not cigarettes: nothing is lit, nothing burns, and no ash is produced. The device heats the tobacco from the outside. A pack holds 20 sticks and a carton holds 200.
The most common search on these products is typed literally as “blends cigarettes”, which shows how widespread the confusion is. BLENDS is not a cigarette pack in a new shape, and it is not vaping: heated tobacco is a category of its own.

How a BLENDS stick works
The stick is compressed real tobacco, ready to use with no filling or assembly. You insert it into the IQOS BONDS device, which runs the ROUNDHEAT TOBACCO SYSTEM™: external resistive heating that surrounds the stick, with no internal blade going through the tobacco. Heating instead of burning has three practical consequences:
- No ash. Nothing burns, so there is nothing to tap off.
- Less odour. Odour release is lower than with traditional cigarettes.
- A defined session. Each stick runs for roughly 5 minutes.

BLENDS Gold
BLENDS Gold is the strongest of the classic blends: rich roasted tobacco, warm and full, with no menthol and no cooling. It suits anyone coming from a heavier traditional cigarette, or anyone who found a lighter variant too faint.
BLENDS Silver
BLENDS Silver sits at the opposite end: the lightest of the classic blends, smooth and balanced with no menthol. It is the logical starting point if heated tobacco is new to you; many users begin here and move up later.
BLENDS Beige
BLENDS Beige sits between Silver and Gold: smooth, balanced tobacco with a creamy touch that adds body without sharpness, and no menthol. Choose it if Silver felt too light and Gold too strong.
BLENDS Green Menthol
The only refreshing variant. The pack name is BLENDS GREEN MENTHOL: a balanced tobacco base with minty coolness rated medium to high, while intensity stays medium, so the refreshment never erases the tobacco underneath. Green Menthol keeps best at a moderate temperature.

The most common mix-up for new users. Both are heated tobacco sticks by IQOS, but they are two separate systems and the devices are not interchangeable:

Device compatibility
The rule is absolute: BLENDS sticks are made exclusively for the IQOS BONDS device. They are not compatible with IQOS ILUMA, nor with earlier IQOS generations.
! Before you buy
Check your device first. If you own an ILUMA or ILUMA ONE, BLENDS sticks will not work; TEREA is your range. If you own BONDS, the reverse is true. Each stick is designed for one heating system only.
