How it works
The idea sits in the system’s name: ROUNDHEAT TOBACCO SYSTEM™. BONDS by IQOS wraps the stick in an external resistive heater rather than placing an element inside it, so heat travels inwards. Tobacco is heated without combustion, no ash is left, and less odour is released than with conventional cigarettes.
No blade also means nothing inside the chamber collects tobacco residue, which is why BONDS requires no routine cleaning.

How to use it
The first charge
Charge fully over USB Type-C first. A full charge takes about 3 hours and gives up to 25 uses; the indicators show charge status.
Inserting the stick
Insert one BLENDS stick straight into the chamber until it seats — no twisting, no force. TEREA sticks are not compatible with BONDS; see compatible sticks below.
Starting and ending a session

Do not put a TEREA stick into BONDS. TEREA is made for IQOS ILUMA devices running SMARTCORE INDUCTION, BLENDS exclusively for BONDS. The systems transfer heat differently, and the wrong stick will not run properly.

Cleaning and maintenance
BONDS requires no routine cleaning: with no internal blade, nothing inside the chamber has to be cleared. A few habits remain:
- Remove the used stick after every session.
- Wipe the outer body with a dry cloth when needed.
- Charge over USB Type-C; about 3 hours for a full charge.
- Store sticks dry, out of direct sunlight; Green Menthol keeps its coolness best at moderate temperature.
- Keep the device and sticks out of the reach of children.
